Our NGO is dedicated to uplifting women from all walks of life by providing them with the tools, resources, and support they need to become confident, independent, and self-reliant individuals.
We believe that when women are empowered, families thrive, communities grow stronger, and societies progress. Our organization works at the grassroots level to address the challenges women face, including lack of education, financial dependence, gender discrimination, and limited access to healthcare.
Stree Shakti
At JMV Child Care Foundation, we believe that self-realization and individual empowerment are fundamental to achieving social change. Our experience and various studies indicate that empowering women leads to broader societal benefits. However, in India, many women are still denied basic rights such as health, education, employment, and respect.
About Streeshakti
“Streeshakti,” meaning “women’s power,” represents our commitment to addressing these issues through a simple yet effective approach. Initially piloted and later stabilized, Streeshakti focuses on enhancing both individual and collective self-esteem and inner strength among marginalized and socially excluded women and adolescent girls through innovative community practices.

Rakhi’s Journey
“I was sick for the longest time and had lost all hope of giving birth.”
Rakhi faced immense pressure from her family to have a child. Despite conceiving multiple times, her poor health prevented her from carrying any pregnancy to term.
Without access to proper medical care, her situation became increasingly difficult. When volunteers from the Streeshakti program learned about her condition, they immediately stepped in to help.
She received medical guidance, nutritional support, and counseling for her husband, helping him understand the importance of care and support.
With improved health and family support, Rakhi’s condition transformed. Today, she is six months pregnant and looks forward to embracing motherhood with hope and confidence.
