Mission Kaushal
Mission Kaushal addresses a crucial need in India, where youth constitute over one-third of the population and form a significant part of the labor force. Despite their potential, many underprivileged youth lack education and proper guidance, not due to a lack of knowledge, but because they do not possess the necessary skills and attitudes. To harness their energy and drive economic growth, it is essential to provide them with the right direction and learning opportunities.
Challenges in Youth Skill Development
We have identified several key issues in skill development among youth:
- Skill Gaps: There is a noticeable shortage of quality workers at minimally skilled and semi-skilled levels.
- Inadequate Skills: Many lack essential skills, including project management and adherence to safety norms at construction sites.
- Work Ethics: Common issues include casual work ethics, absenteeism, and a general unwillingness to work.
Key Focus
To address these challenges, JMV Child Care Foundation runs vocational skill development programs that cover a wide range of skills, from basic computer and English language training to retail and hospitality services.

Roshni’s Journey
“JMV Child Care has given me hope, and ‘Mission Kaushal’ has helped me aspire to big goals.”
Roshni’s father worked tirelessly to support his family and educate his three daughters. After completing her 10th grade, Roshni faced financial challenges that forced her to pause her education.
While searching for a job, she realized the importance of technical knowledge and communication skills. Through a friend, she learned about the Mission Kaushal program and enrolled in a six-month training course.
During the program, she improved her English, gained computer skills, and developed confidence through personality development sessions.
Today, Roshni works as a Computer Operator cum Salesperson at a jewelry shop. She supports her family and contributes to her sisters’ education, becoming a role model in her community.
